Not For Punks: Music Biz Adventures

A place for me to share my experiences as an artist manager - the fabulous moments along with the more strenuous ones - so people can have an understanding of the entertainment business rooted in realism. To keep it fun and light, I'll be interspersing my experiences with commentary on some of my favorite things - fashion, travel, music and much more! Ciao!

The sweet anticipation of the release of Tony Bennett’s “Duets II” album is not without reason.  Every track I’ve heard is exquisite, scored and engineered with warmth and love.  Although the duet with Amy Winehouse is garnering attention for obvious and tragic reasons, it’s hard to choose a favorite.  Tony and Aretha on “How Do You Keep The Music Playing… or Tony and K.D. Lang on “Blue Velvet”… or Tony with Sheryl Crow on “The Man/Girl I Love.”  The dizzying array of knockout performances is serious.  However, the performance that shocks me most is Queen Latifah’s turn on “Who Can I Turn To (When Nobody Needs Me) is tasteful and lovely.  All around brilliant set.
